Before you sign up

FAQ for new or potential clients.

These answers help business owners understand how to start, what package fits best, and whether a website refresh, rebuild, or monthly plan is the right next step.

Getting Started

4
How do I get started with CSolutions?+

The easiest way to get started is through the contact page. Share a few details about your business, what kind of website or support you need, and whether you already have an existing site. From there, CSolutions can recommend the right package and next steps.

Can I work with CSolutions if I already have a website?+

Yes. Existing websites can be redesigned, refreshed, expanded, or replaced depending on what makes the most sense. Some clients need a full rebuild, while others only need updates to messaging, layout, mobile responsiveness, or conversions.

Do I need a full new website if my current one is outdated?+

Not always. If the foundation is still usable, it may be more efficient to improve the current site. If the site is hard to update, looks unprofessional, or no longer supports the business well, a rebuild is usually the better long-term move.

What should I have ready before our first conversation?+

Nothing formal is required. It helps to know what your business does, who your customers are, and what you want visitors to do on the site, such as call, book, or request a quote. Any existing logo, photos, or current website links are useful but not required to start the conversation.

Packages & Pricing

5
Which website package is right for me?+

One-page sites are usually best for resumes, portfolios, and simple offers. Starter websites fit most local businesses that need a professional multi-page presence. Premium websites are better for businesses that need stronger messaging, more content, or a more tailored structure.

Can I request web services even if I do not need hosting right away?+

Yes. A website build and ongoing hosting/support are separate decisions. You can start with the website project first and decide later whether you want CSolutions to host and maintain it.

Is a monthly subscription worth it for a small business?+

For many businesses, yes. A monthly support plan is helpful if you expect to update hours, services, pricing, photos, promotions, menus, or seasonal content regularly. If your website rarely changes, you may not need monthly support right away.

How does payment work for a website project?+

Website projects are quoted up front with a fixed price based on the package and scope, so there are no surprises. Hosting and support plans, when chosen, are billed separately on a monthly basis. The exact terms are confirmed before any work begins.

Are there any hidden or recurring fees?+

No. The project price is agreed on before work starts. The only ongoing costs are the things every website needs, such as a domain and hosting, and an optional monthly support plan if you want CSolutions to handle updates and maintenance for you.

Who I Work With

3
What kinds of businesses do you usually work with?+

CSolutions is built around small businesses, local service providers, restaurants, contractors, consultants, personal brands, and growing business owners who want a clean professional presence without agency-level complexity.

Do you only build websites, or can you help with other branding materials too?+

Websites are the core service, but CSolutions also supports related branded materials such as menus, graphics, and marketing-focused assets when they are part of helping the business present itself more clearly online.

Do you work with clients outside of one city or state?+

Yes. CSolutions works remotely and supports businesses in multiple markets, including Greater Boston, the Bay Area, and Seattle, as well as clients in other locations.

Process & Results

4
How long does a website usually take?+

Timelines depend on the package and how quickly content and feedback are available. Simpler sites can move quickly, while larger builds take longer. Most projects move fastest when there is a clear goal, the needed content is ready, and feedback stays consistent.

Do I need to have all my content ready before signing up?+

No. It helps to have your core business information ready, but the process can still begin even if some wording, photos, or structure needs refinement. CSolutions can help shape the presentation so the final site feels organized and intentional.

Can you help if I need a website that brings in leads, calls, or bookings?+

Yes. The goal is not just to make the site look better, but to make it easier for visitors to contact, book, call, request a quote, or take the next step that matters for the business.

How involved do I need to be during the project?+

As involved as you want to be. Most of the work happens on the CSolutions side, with a few clear checkpoints for feedback. The project moves fastest when content is shared early and feedback comes back in one consolidated round at each step.

SEO & Getting Found

2
Will my website show up on Google?+

Every CSolutions build includes basic on-page SEO setup so search engines can find and understand the site. Ranking well over time also depends on factors like your content, reviews, and how competitive your area is, but the foundation is built in from launch.

Do you help with local SEO for my area?+

Yes. For local businesses, the site is structured around the cities and services you want to be found for, with clear location and contact signals. This helps nearby customers find you when they search for what you offer.

After your site launches

FAQ for existing clients.

The most common post-launch questions around support, hosting, renewals, subscriptions, project scope, and using the client portal for updates.

Project Scope

3
What is included in the original website build?+

The original build typically includes the agreed project scope, initial layout/design work, setup of the core pages or sections in the package, mobile responsiveness, and the launch-ready version of the site. The exact scope depends on the package selected at signup.

What is not included in the original build?+

New pages, major design direction changes, large content expansions, advanced integrations, or work outside the agreed package scope are usually handled separately or added through a higher package or ongoing support arrangement.

Does my subscription include redesigns or brand new pages?+

Usually no. Ongoing plans are built for support and maintenance, not full rebuilds. Bigger structural changes, new sections, or new pages are usually treated as additional work so the scope stays clear for everyone.

Hosting & Domains

4
Is hosting necessary?+

Yes, every live website needs hosting somewhere in order to stay online. What is optional is whether CSolutions handles the hosting for you. Some clients prefer to keep everything managed in one place, while others use their own hosting provider.

Why are domain renewal and hosting renewal separate?+

They are separate because they are different services. A domain is the web address you own, while hosting is the service that keeps the website files online. They are often billed by different providers and renewed on different cycles.

Do I have to host with CSolutions to keep my website?+

No. The website and the hosting arrangement are separate. If you prefer another hosting setup, that can usually be discussed. Many clients still choose CSolutions hosting because it keeps support and maintenance simpler.

Do you help me set up or transfer my domain?+

Yes. Whether you are registering a brand-new domain or pointing an existing one at your new site, CSolutions can walk you through it or handle the technical setup so the site goes live on the address you want.

Subscriptions & Support

6
What does my monthly subscription usually include?+

Monthly plans are designed for hosting, basic maintenance, and a limited amount of ongoing support or update requests depending on the plan. That can include text edits, image swaps, small content adjustments, and general upkeep through the client portal workflow.

How do I request updates after launch?+

Update requests should be submitted through the client portal whenever possible. That keeps requests organized, helps track usage on support plans, and creates a clearer record of what has been requested and completed.

What kind of updates count toward subscription usage?+

Small support requests such as text changes, swapping photos, updating business information, or other minor site adjustments typically count toward plan usage. Larger redesigns, major feature additions, and net-new project work are usually scoped separately.

Can I ask for changes if I am not on a monthly plan?+

Yes, but ongoing work is usually easier and more cost-effective through an active support plan. One-off requests can still be handled, though timing and pricing may differ from subscription clients.

What happens if I need more updates than my plan covers?+

If your needs consistently exceed the plan, the best next step is usually an upgrade or a separately scoped project. That way the support process stays predictable and your requests can be handled at the right pace.

Can I pause or change my support plan later?+

Yes. Support plans are meant to fit how your business actually uses the site. If your needs grow or slow down, the plan can be adjusted. The simplest way to make a change is through the client portal or by reaching out directly.

Billing & Account

2
What if I need help with billing, renewals, or account access?+

Those questions can be handled through the client portal or by contacting CSolutions directly. Keeping billing, hosting, and support communication in one workflow helps reduce confusion when something needs attention quickly.

How do I update my payment method?+

Billing details can be updated through the secure payment portal linked from your client portal account. If you run into any trouble, reaching out directly is the fastest way to get it sorted.

The Client Portal

2
What can I do in the client portal?+

The client portal is the home base for your account. From there you can submit update requests, track what has been requested and completed, and keep support, hosting, and billing communication organized in one place.

How do I log in to the client portal?+

You can reach the portal from the Portal link in the site navigation. If you have not set up access yet or cannot get in, the portal help page and the contact options can get you back on track quickly.
